I have been an AutoPilot user for years and selected Pipedrive since they had bidirectional syncing with AP. The team at AutoPilot is a class act and their system is so easy to use. You simply can't beat the experience with any of their competitors.

The worst experience. Stay away from sales rep Mario. I was excited seeing their videos, and the sales pitch from Mario on how easy things were, and how he would set up everything. He kept asking for credit card, as i was in a 30 day trial, but we agreed i would start paying, as long as he built out everything. he did, and i put all the emails in, and when i turned the green light to start, nothing worked. mario went Missing in action, and then the company was pitching me to pay extra money to fix the problems. Complete waste of time, and the software is horrible.

There was a time I used to recommend AutoPilot to everyone. I have written unsolicited reviews praising them to the moon and back. And this review does not change how good the autopilot solution is on its own - Even now. That said, my only recommendation will be to not use this integration. You will be charged for each and every contact you have in your database, whether you ever reached out to them via autopilot or not. Autopilot's support will themselves make this suggestion to not use this integration should you ever complain about these charges. Sure, you can use pie-sync and spend even more money per month on piesync or other solutions to manage something that should ideally be part of autopilot's contact sync option. Really, all it needs is a switch or an option with every contact within autopilot. If I don't want to reach out to a contact using AutoPilot, they should not charge me - period. Read the rest of the reviews. The fact that so many people complain about it and they are doing nothing about it to address it, says a lot. Unless you have a small client base and YOU PLAN TO STAY SMALL, stay away from using Autopilot integration.

I am technical so Autopilot may come more naturally to me. I use another solution but looked at Autopilot because I want my email marketing tool to allow me to spend more time within Pipedrive. Staying in one tool is ideal for me. I set up my journey (love that term) and it soon grew very complex. Not to complex, but again I am technical and completely understand the flow and logic of what Autopilot allows. I had some concerns with the reviews I saw here so I proceeded carefully. I set autopilot in a way that I can put a prospect onto a journey through setting a custom field in Pipedrive. From there things are automated unless an action occurs I want to be made aware of. Autopilot makes me aware of those actions and I have my processes I follow. After setting 1 prospect it ran just as expected. I set another dozen the next day and then a few dozen the day after. Everything worked perfectly. So far I have been ecstatic about the solution. In terms of seeing who is on a journey and where there are at. I can see who is on a journey based on the custom field I created with Pipedrive. This can be created and viewed within Autopilot (the live view is awesome) but again, I want to stay in Pipedrive. I am going to enhance my journey flow with better segmentation of prospects and break my big journey into smaller journeys. I am also going to at steps in my journey and update a custom field with what step the prospect is at. Again, I want to live in Pipedrive and use Autopilot just as the tool for email marketing automation. Do I recommend Autopilot...depends. If you want extreme levels of customization, you are comfortable with logic flows and can dedicate the time to build a solution then absolutely. The real caveat is you have to be comfortable building logic flows...if-then statements. If you are not and just want a tool that you can plug some emails into and assign prospects too Autopilot may not be the tool you are looking for.

Apparently, there is no way to review a list of intended email recipients in Autopilot before clicking Send. How could an email service provider not have this feature? As our intended email recipients depend upon Pipedrive filters, this was critical. What syncs over to Autopilot from Pipedrive is the master contact list, not a subset thereof, and you have to just hope that your emails go to the right people. Based on the rudeness of their "support" staff in our most recent chat, you would have thought it was my fault. Canceling now. Based upon some of the other negative reviews here, it looks like using another provider is the way to go.
